LARC formed in 2012, when Luke returned from a yearlong adventure. Experiencing the extreme landscapes of the Mexican desert, frigid waters of New Jersey and rocky mountains of Canada from the solace of a van – he became acutely aware of space and thus space-saving solutions. We specialise in unique solution-based design; listening carefully to clients' needs to collaboratively create with these objectives in mind. We are hard working, creative and professional. We aren't boring, and neither is our work.

BBE Landscape Architecture, QUT.
GDLA Landscape Architecture (Distinction), QUT.
Registered Landscape Architect, AILA.

Schooled at the Queensland University of Technology, Luke graduated in 2001 and became a Registered Landscape Architect with AILA in 2009, having gained the necessary local and international experience.

Early experience in residential garden projects, both in the office and on site, allowed Luke's practical and ‘buildable’ landscape solutions to evolve. Now living amongst the rural setting of the Byron Bay Hinterland, Luke has refined the LARC solutions to suit the Australian landscape setting, whether it be plant or material selection.

His passion to get soil under everyones fingernails stems from his Mediterranean upbringing — spending endless hours in the garden with his grandad. Luke believes in operating ethically for the land and the custodians of the individual site.
